Mill River Tavern

This is a 5 Star for sure! Didn't took pictures because I wanted to eat and honestly it looks so good that I just didn't. As a chef I have to say. This has been the best wings I had in a long time. So so delicious! Pizza was of course incredible. But the dry wings?! Well well, we will come back for sure.

Great food, friendly, attentive service and a really cool vibe. We really enjoyed our dinner here tonight. The meatballs were delicious. The French onion soup was very good (although extremely cheesey). The cocktails were tasty and the kids all enjoyed their meals.

Been here 6x and everything tastes great - always accommodating due to my gluten free needs, n every meal has been super amazing. The only thing was tonight we went early which meant the oven wasn't super hot, also it was the first time this year it's been below freezing out, which made the center of the pizza a slight bit doughy but didn't matter because most of it was coming home and the reheat in the oven will crisp it up for my husband. Thanks Mill River Tavern for an amazing spot we drive from Feeding Hills to hang out & eat great food.

Outstanding food, excellent service and very cool atmosphere. Found this establishment on a whim and it definitely did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming and attentive from the time we arrived until we left. The menu was expansive and the food was perfectly prepared and presented. Will patronize again; highly recommended!

Cannot recommend this location enough. Best pizza I've had and the toffee bunt cake was incredible. Was able to get a seat in a reasonable amount of time even though they were completely packed. The bartender was very personable and checked in frequently even with how busy it was. I just wish I lived closer!

We went to waxwing first and they were rude and unwelcoming. They told us it would be 20 minutes before they even took our orders so we left. I called the Grill to ask if we needed reservations because of this. The person on the phone was friendly and polite and they said yes sometimes but right now we have tables open. Its actually quite beautiful inside. And pumping! Wow, were they busy. We sat outside, trying to enjoy the last wisps of whatever heat the trails of summer have left us haha We got our menus and as soon as I saw homemade meatballs, I became very excited. We only ordered starters as it was almost 7 pm and we were famished. We got the dusted chicken wings- slightly spicy and perfectly crispy. Fresh crisp vegetables and blue cheese. Fantastic. The arugula salad was generously sized with a gorgeous vinaigrette perfect parmesan and pancetta! We even had enough meat left to take home to our fur children. The meatballs. Lord have mercy they were some of the best meatballs I have ever had! And the sauce….wow! Knock your socks off. My italian american friend (first generation!) WOULD approve. We also got the nachos which were the only “meh” part of the order. Too much cheese not enough veg. But considering how everything else was FABULOUS I really dont care. Service was friendly and prompt (: We really look forward to trying the pizza next!!

Someone told us about The Mill River Tavern, we had to go try it, I can say it’s a hidden gem in Hatfield. We first ordered a drink (great selection of beers) and had to try the pizza, we ordered all hamburger, onions and 1/2 mushrooms. The pizza was great and was out really fast. Later on the waitress came over to us with another pizza. She tells us, we made your first pizza wrong and want to know if you want this one to take home, free? We declined but were very grateful and asked if the other table (retirement party) would like it and they did. Waitress was awesome, super friendly and always checking on us. We will definitely be going back. I was watching some of the food coming out and it all looked delicious. This is just a cute little local tavern that aims to please.
